MLA International Bibliography

The MLA International Bibliography is the premier subject index for books, articles, book chapters, and dissertations on modern languages, literatures, folklore, linguistics, and composition and rhetoric.

Coverage includes literature from all over the world, including Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and North and South America. Folklore is represented by folk literature, music, art, rituals, and belief systems. Linguistics and language materials range from history and theory of linguistics, comparative linguistics, semantics, stylistics, and syntax to translation. Other topics include literary theory and criticism, dramatic arts (film, radio, television, theater), and history of printing and publishing. (source)

In 2000, MLA began indexing the literature of composition and rhetoric. These materials include theory and practice (including pedagogy and administration) of teaching writing at the university level.

Atkins library provides the MLA International Bibliography on the Ebsco Platform and all of the features that come with it including the ability to refine results by year, source type, subject, and specific publication.  MLA provides citations, but rarely full text. By a quick click on the “Get it” button, you can search the libraries e-collection to see if the full text of the MLA citation is available.
Why not try MLA International Bibliography if you are researching languages, literature, linguistics, folklore, or writing studies?
